258 Parking Violations Controlled in One Day

The Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency took action against 258 violations in an operation to control illegal parking and illegal parking attendants carried out in five areas of the city on Monday (6/15).

According to a recapitulation of enforcement actions, the Jakarta Transportation Agency towed 24 vehicles and issued tickets to 13. Officers also conducted Tire Valve Removal Operations (OCP) on 136 two-wheeled vehicles and 11 four-wheeled vehicles.

Illegal Parking Crackdown in North Jakarta Intensified

In the same operation, officers seized four four-wheeled vehicles using handheld ticketing, transported 51 motorcycles using a tow truck, and stopped 12 vehicles violating regulations. Seven illegal parking attendants were also controlled in the operation.

Head of Transportation Agency, Budi Awaluddin said regular enforcement is carried out as an effort to create traffic order and provide comfort for the public.

"We continue to consistently enforce enforcement against illegal parking and illegal parking attendants throughout Jakarta. This measure is part of our efforts to maintain public order, ensure smooth traffic flow, and ensure a sense of security and comfort for the public," he said, Tuesday (6/16).

The Jakarta Transportation Agency continues to cooperate with related elements in supervising and taking action against parking violations that have the potential to disrupt road functions.

"We urge the public to comply with applicable parking regulations and use the official parking spaces provided. Compliance by all parties is essential to creating a more orderly and comfortable Jakarta," he stated.
